Thickness sander 3
And guess what. It works! I put on 120-grit paper and sent a side through, a piece that was impossible to plane due to grain direction. And after a few passes it's smooth as a middle aged man's chin and almost thin enough to bend. This is the best machine I've ever built.
I'll make sure to take one that shows the adjustment screws tonight! With any luck I should be able to sand a few soundboards when I get home from prison / day job.
I'm worried Sven! No updates for three days. Does that mean that you've been sanding continously since? That would lead to wafer thin soundboards! Thin soundboard are desirable but there's a limit to thiness. Contain yourself Sven. Stop sanding. Start bending or glueing or something!
And how did you make the paper stick to the drum? Glue? Rubber bands? Nails?
