Building a better world, uke by uke.
This is my building diary. I build ukuleles in my apartment workshop. I try to label the posts, so if you're interested in anything in particular you might find it by clicking the labels.
Feel free to contact me if there is anything you want to ask, or even better; tell me.

Wood for tenor number 3
So I've picked some wood out for a tenor for Jukka. Mahogany neck, back and sides, and a spruce top. If I get enough time for practice, then maybe maybe I'll throw in some binding.
But that would mean building jigs, router attachments and all sorts of stuff. I have to think about it.
Ahhh. I'm getting mildly excited already. I'll save the major excitement for later in the process....
ReplyDeleteWhat an abundance of wood. Are you sure you are building a ukulele and not a yatch? (Perhaps a ukulele to sail the seas in?)
ReplyDeleteI see a soprano with neck on the table.
