Building a better world, uke by uke.
This is my building diary. I build ukuleles in my apartment workshop. I try to label the posts, so if you're interested in anything in particular you might find it by clicking the labels.
Feel free to contact me if there is anything you want to ask, or even better; tell me.
The house in the background has been built in eight days. In the pic it looks quite shoddy, the windproof fabric is a bit drab in colour. And the tarp suffers from a strong wind.
I've kept busy but managed to sand the ukes today. Maybe I'll cut fret slots tonight, if I don't go to rescue that alder log I got from the local farmer.
I give tanning the cherry a shot. Don't know if it's gonna turn out good or perfect.
I'd come over, but I just saw pictures of you and your children sawing an elder in half. I'll be 50 in December, which might make me an elder in some parts.

OK, I'm fascinated by the summer house. Is this a workshop or are you actually making a guesthouse?
I call it my "New manhouse". I just need to find someone suitable who can stay there.
