Building a better world, uke by uke.
This is my building diary. I build ukuleles in my apartment workshop. I try to label the posts, so if you're interested in anything in particular you might find it by clicking the labels.
Feel free to contact me if there is anything you want to ask, or even better; tell me.
Cut the soundboards out with a knife, tried for a while to alter a compass to a hole-cutter - but ended up drilling 30 or 40 small holes instead. Next will be bracing.
And I have a tenor to consider... It will most likely have a one piece spruce top, and the rest will be mahogany.

Wouldn't a hole-cutter like this (http://www.clasohlson.se/Archive/Images/Products/Hi/300795_X_2006-06-30_102007_365.jpg) do the trick instead of drilling 40 holes?

No it wouldn't, you secret agent you! But there are high grade hole cutters that would. Can't buy all tools at once though.
