Building a better world, uke by uke.
This is my building diary. I build ukuleles in my apartment workshop. I try to label the posts, so if you're interested in anything in particular you might find it by clicking the labels.
Feel free to contact me if there is anything you want to ask, or even better; tell me.
Thanks to Pete Howlett, I have learnt how a mould should be. This one is not finished yet, I'm gonna make a rebate where the roughly cut soundboard fits. And I need better spacers to hold the sides firmly.
But I never had a better glueing experience than this! I need one of these moulds for each size, obviously.
okay, this is where I need to make a comment. I have really enjoyed reading your blog! I am attempting to build my first ukulele. I am laying out my work board/mould and am seeking advice. I have watched your evolution and have some questions about construction in these regards, also have seen Pete's tutorial on this subject and thought it was brilliant.
